Dr. Amy Ly completed her residency in Anatomic Pathology and fellowship in Cytopathology at Stanford University Medical Center. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, and practices at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). In addition to cytopathology, she has expertise in breast and pulmonary surgical pathology. She has provided training and education in palpation and ultrasound guided FNA techniques for many years, including authoring a chapter for Ed Cibas’ Cytology textbook.

She recently Chaired the American Society of Cytopathology’s “Re-Imagine Cytopathology” Task Force and is now serving as the Vice Chair of the Research Committee. Dr. Ly is a co-author in the upcoming WHO book on breast cytopathology, and has published in breast, pulmonary and lymph node cytology. In addition, she currently leads the patient-pathologist consultation program at MGH.
