Jr. Medical Membership


Junior Medical Members are Entitled to:

Listed as active member on the list of members at the IAC website

To assist trainees and fellows the yearly membership fee has been reduced to €25. No admission fee is necessary

Junior Medical Members are entitled to  online access to Acta Cytologica.

Elevation to MIAC (medical membership) upon completion of speciality training if mandatory requirements are met

Mandatory Requirements

Junior Medical Membership is open to physicians in specialty training in anatomic pathology or other fields encompassing
at least two years of training in cytopathology.

Junior Medical Membership can be held for a maximum of 5 years.

You will also need one Member or Fellow of the academy to sponsor your application. If you have problems finding sponsors, please contact the central office for assistance. Your sponsor will receive an  e-mail from the central office asking if they agree to support your application.

Applicants of IAC category of Junior Medical Member can submit the application form without payment of the application fee . For membership after January 2026 the annual dues (Jan-Dec) of Euro 25 should be  paid with the application.  If an application is not approved the payment will be refunded.

How to Apply

Please complete and submit the form for approval by the Membership Committee

 

  • Copy of Medical Certificate/License
  • Your CV
  • Any publications
  • Small selfie/headshot photograph for internal use only (90 x 120 pixels)
  • Sponsorship email of a Member or Fellow of the academy
  • The annual dues are 25 € (Jan-Dec). No application fee is necessary. Link to payment page

What Happens After Your Application

A ballot of new members is presented to the Board of Directors and Membership Committee every month before October each year.

Applications received in October, November or December are held to start membership in January the coming year.
