The application and payment forms for registrants are online at the IAC website. Each application is reviewed and if approved the registrants then receives the necessary information to attend from the IAC.

WHAT IS NEED FOR THE IAC EXAMS

  1. An exam proctor. The IAC make a final decision about the proctor. A local CT(IAC) or Member may sometimes be chosen to proctor, or the IAC will send someone.
  2. A (hopefully) quiet room is required with tables for spacing each participant as well as an electric socket for the laptops.
  3. Good and stable Wi-Fi is required. The registrants will be asked to bring their own laptops to view and answer the questions.
  4. A projector is needed at the beginning to show instructions.
  5. It is advisable to have a spare laptop available for anyone having problems accessing the digital exam site or problems with their own laptop.

Examples of the exam questions

The Academy has a “Mock Exam” to test and understand how the exam works. Each registrant has to try this in advance.

The Exam format

After accessing the exam platform but before accessing the exam each registrant has to enroll with their name and enroll number that is supplied by the IAC. The enroll number is important for identification
All questions are online with multiple choice answers
The examinations are in three sections and a short break should be planned after the first 90 minute session.
90 Minutes for digital slides
35 Minutes for visual images
90 Minutes for written questions
The examination online links to each exam platform are provided on the day and have to be opened in the background by the IAC to allow access for the registrants.

Information about pass or fail normally be sent by email within four weeks.

Information to be supplied to each registrant BY THE iac
This information must be provided by the host society before approval for the site can be announced

Once an application is approved and paid for the IAC central office sends the registrants an email with all the necessary information to attend.

1 We need to promote the exam with a suitable photograph; city or building.

We need to know the exact room and location for each registrant to sign-in. Full address must be provided.
2 We need to know the time to sign-in and for explanations and questions
3 We ask each registrant to pre-register at the SmartZoom digital exam website in order to create a User account
4 We recommend that each registrant must try the mock exam in order to be sure their laptop can upload the digital question fast enough, we also suggest they use the mock exam as practice.
5 The Academy provides the individual Enroll numbers for each registrant and informs them.
6 We need to have the contact details (mobile number and email) of a local person responsible for someone to call if they are delayed or other problems.
