Further the academy’s mission of providing and promoting cutting edge and up to date research in cytopathology and publish in Acta Cytologica.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with WHO-IARC for publication of monographs as well as articles for Acta Cytologica.
- Establish training programs for junior faculty in basic and clinical research and statistical analysis.
- Identify potential topics (current and late breaking) and invite authors to submit their work to Acta Cytologica.

Chair

Dr. Lukas Bubendorf, MD, MIAC (Switzerland)
Professor Bubendorf is head of the Cytopathology Division at the Institute for Pathology of the University Hospital Basel, Basel, Switzerland.
His major interests and diagnostic expertise lie within lung pathology and uropathology, and in the general field of cytopathology. His research group currently investigates the role of genomic evolution and heterogeneity in solid tumors, including lung and prostate cancer. In cytology, he aims at translating molecular techniques and assays to clinical routine application
