A case-based approach will be used to present a variety of challenging EBUS-FNA cases, emphasizing the importance of cytomorphology, appropriate specimen triage, and ancillary studies in optimizing diagnosis. Potential pitfalls and differential diagnoses will also be discussed. Case review will focus on both non-neoplastic and benign neoplastic lesions as well as unusual primary and metastatic malignancies

Dr. Xing is a staff pathologist in the Department of Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic and an associate professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She is actively involved in clinical service work, research, and teaching. Dr. Xing specializes in cancer diagnosis on various fine needle aspiration and small biopsy specimens. Her research interests primarily lie in non-gynecological cytopathology, telecytology, and the evaluation of variety of ancillary tests in cytological specimens. She has authored about 30 publications and published a book. Dr. Xing has also established herself as an effective educator at the local, regional, and national levels.
