IAC International Cytotechnologist of the year 2008-2010

The International Cytotechnologist of the Year Award is given yearly to a Cytotechnologist of exceptional merit honouring a life long dedication to teaching, research and service in cytology. Recipients receive a gold medal and an honorarium.
The Award has been given since 1975 to 32 recipients from 14 countries.


Cytotechnologist of the Year 2008
Kyoko Komatsu PhD, CMIAC, Japan
For her exceptional achievements in and contributions to the national and international practice and science of cytology and biomedical sciences.


Cytotechnologist of the Year 2009
Josefine Stani, CFIAC, Austria
For her outstanding record of cytology teaching excellence, contributions to generate knowledge of cytology, and exemplary service to the International Academy of Cytology.


Cytotechnologist of the Year 2010
Liliana Magdalena Osorio, CFIAC, Colombia
For her multidisciplinary involvement in population health issues and her leadership roles in national, regional and international professional and scientific organizations.
