Registry for Cytotechnologists

For more than 35 years, the International Academy of Cytology has administered examinations for cytotechnologists around the world.  As of July 2009, more than 10,000 cytotechnologists have successfully passed the IAC Comprehensive Cytotechnology Examination obtaining the title CT(IAC). Cytotechnologists from over 65 countries have taken the examination.

During a limited time period (1993 - 2002) an examination restricted to gynecologic cytology only was administered (CT(IAC-GYN)) which is no longer available.

The examination is given in several locations around the world.
Office of the Registrar-Examination Schedule

The schedule contains the date, place of the examination.  The deadline dates for receipt of the completed application form in the Office of the Registrar is listed on the schedule.

The prerequisites to sit the examination and the application form may be downloaded as PDF or requested by mail from the Registrar's Office.
