The IAC publishes two peer-reviewed scientific journals (ACTA CYTOLOGICA and ANALYTICAL AND QUANTITATIVE CYTOLOGY AND HISTOLOGY) and the IAC newsletter CYTOPATHS.

For continuing educational purposes, 42 books containing text and transparencies on most facets of clinical cytology are available. Most of these 42 slide sets are available in English, German, Russian and Japanese text. There are also three compendia available:

(1) Compendium on Diagnostic Cytology (8th Edition, now also on CD-ROM)

(2) Compendium on the Computerized Cytology and Histology and Histology Laboratory

(3) Compendium on Quality Assurance, Proficiency Testing and Workload Limitations
