General Program Explanation and Modus Operandi:

The program consists of Keynote Papers, Special Lectures, Task Force Panels, proffered papers and posters. The Task Forces started with their deliberations by correspondence in August 1999 and consist of Panel Chairs (names underlined), Panel Leaders and Task Force participants and authors of proffered papers. All authors of proffered papers were invited to present their material also in posters.

The Conference deliberations, the position papers, the discussions, and abstracts are compiled in a Three-Ring-Binder which will be handed to the conference registrants at the onset of the Consensus Conference so that registrants may assess the main aims and goals in advance of and/or during the actual conference.

Speakers are requested to state their affiliation with commercial organizations, if any, in order to provide the audience with the financial disclosure required by the CME regulations.

The proceedings of the International Consensus Conference will be published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine (JRM), in Acta Cytologica, and in Analytical and Quantitative Cytology and Histology, depending on the clinical, cytologic, and/or experimental character of the paper. In order to appear in specific conference issues of the respective journals, authors are requested to submit their manuscripts no later than May 15, 2000 to the Editorial Office (International Academy of Cytology, 1640 East 50th Street, Chicago, IL 60615-3161, USA, Tel. 773-947-0098).
