The Goldblatt Cytology Award The Maurice Goldblatt Cytology Awards were inaugaurated in 1960 by the late Maurice Goldblatt, the founder and honorary chairman of the Cancer Research Foundation, Chicago (President: Merle Goldblatt-Cohen; Cancer Research Foundation, 135 South LaSalle St., Suite 2348, Chicago, IL 60603, Fax: 312-630-0075 Chairman of the Board: Mrs. Maurice Goldblatt). The awards are funded in perpetuity by the interest from a $ 50,000 deposit in a special account. The jury of the Goldblatt Cytology Awards consists of the editors and associate editors of Acta Cytologica, the previous awardees and a representative of the University of Chicago (Richard M. DeMay, MD, MIAC). The jury is chaired by Alexander Meisels, MD, FIAC, Treasurer of the International Academy of Cytology (meisels@cytology-iac.org).
